Summer Time Engagement Session

Scheduling engagement sessions at the beach, aren’t always easy. You have to think about the weather CONSTANTLY. What time is the best time to start taking pictures? Do we have enough time? Will it be TOO sunny? Is it going to be warm? Will it be too cold? How windy will it be? Is it a west wind? Will there be too many people on the beach? Will we have a beautiful sunset?

I could keep going on and on with more questions that I think about when heading to the beach for a session.

Kayla and Jeff’s engagement session is one I will never forget! We started out at a local park to snap a few photos of the two of them with their pups. Then we headed to the bay, just before grabbing some shots at the beach.

Its always a gamble with sunsets. Sunsets during mid September are typically some of the best and most stunning at the shore. Which is right around the time I took these photos of Kayla and Jeff. However, sometimes in the middle of January the golden hour Gods will surprise you.

Kayla and Jeff’s perfect session lasted until the sun had set, and we still had some beautiful colors going. These two laughed for the majority of their session, which made my heart melt.

Spending time with couples prior to their wedding is one of the most important things to me. Offering a complimentary engagement session allows you, the photographer, to accomplish a few things.

  1. Meet the couple. See what they are like!
  2. Find out how comfortable or uncomfortable a couple feels in front of the camera.
  3. Make the couple feel excited about their wedding day!
  4. Capture moments for the couple that they can share with family and friends.

Check out some of the photos from Kayla and Jeff’s engagement session!
